Non-thermal sheet, manufactured by multilayer coextrusion, with a combination of LDPE and LLDPE and the addition of shade-producing additives.
This product has been designed specifically for application in areas with very high radiation, which must be reduced to prevent excessively high temperatures inside the greenhouse. Manufactured with different percentages of shade (25%, 50%, 75%, etc.), depending on the needs of the end application.
Its shading capacity also provides high levels of diffusion, which results in a more even distribution of light inside the greenhouse.
DURASOL SHADOW includes a special combination of stabilizers that protect against UV radiation; based on hindered amine light stabilizers (HALS), the film is highly resistant to degradation from both UV radiation and high temperatures that usually occur in areas where the plastic comes into contact with the metal parts of the structure.
- Mechanical properties: high tensile strength, impact resistance and tear strength, which ensure optimal performance in harsh climatic conditions, such as rain, hail, wind, etc.
- Optical properties: adequate transmission of visible light. High diffusion. Possibility of obtaining different percentages of shade, depending on the application.
- Highly resistant to degradation caused by sunlight and high temperatures.
It is not recommended for use in cold areas or areas with large differences between daytime and nighttime temperatures, since it does not include a combination of heat-insulating additives.
